Ghost Buyers

Received several offers to purchase items. After needed information is presented. They disappear. I suppose they have lost their purpose in life and enjoy watching people jump through hoops. Just wondering if others have experienced this?

Sell enough stuff here on QTH.com and you're bound to come across a few of these guys. Overall, a good experience buying and selling on QTH.com.

Should have a "Deadbeat" page for these people...Lots of them out there promise payment and then disappear.

I've experienced this sort of thing. Sometimes a buyer will give a reason for backing out of a deal akin to "My dog ate my homework." Often, however, they just go silent and won't respond to emails after saying they will buy an item. I simply make a note of these types of individuals who have proven they will not keep their word and refuse to buy/sell/trade with them after that (not worth the hassle). Mostly, though, folks on here have been really great to work with buying and selling ham gear.
