Purchased the Tunematic TM-1 with Y-1 interface for a Christmas present for my wife (Debi).....
Installation and set-up was not difficult, (although I did need to call JT... he graciously pointed me in the right direction, even stayed online to confirm success)
The rig is Yaesu FT891, antenna Lil-Tarheel II mounted on the lip of the hood on our Subaru Ascent.
After storing a few frequencies in each band, control was given to my wife (Debi). After a few band changes with ONE button automatic tuning and hearing the CW notifications, Debi was all smiles.
We took a road trip (Michigan - Virginia) and logged many hours on 80-10m.
Performance was fantastic... hit the desired SWR 4 out of 5 times and the 5th time only required a small amount of fine tuning to achieve SWR of 1.5 or better.
