Scammer using W8OC callsign

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Scammer using W8OC callsign

I was contacted by this person offering the old cashiers check and his movers to pick the item up. His IP address checked out fine and he was pretty convincing but one thing I have noticed is that these scammers always pick a Ham Operator that does not have an Email listed on QRZ so that the seller cannot contact the Operator easily for confirmation of his Identity. Be careful and question everything folks.....73's W4wth
