I was interested in a SW receiver and had read great things about the Kenwood R1000. Even though the technology is dated, I'm just a "listener," not a Ham, and this was the receiver I was looking for. I saw the ad from Dennis in Classifieds and responded, telling him I'd like to buy it if he still had it. He told me he was just about to lower the price on his ad, and lowered it by 20 bucks when I was prepared to buy it at the original price. He obviously didn't have to do that. This guy is a gentleman.
The receiver came three days after he shipped it--packed like the Crown Jewels. Beneath layers and layers of air bubble cushioning, I found the receiver, clean and looking as new as the day he bought it. Plays like a dream.
