Hi all,
The day before yesterday, 2/18, I met W9FIZ, Barry Gose. I traded him some cash for dang near his entire station. turns out he's got some health issues and is getting out of the shack. That's to bad, because I find him to be a man of integrity, and has more knowledge about amateur radio than I'll ever have.
The transaction was very fair, in fact I'll probably never get a deal like he gave me ever again. Barry was easy to work with and was even willing to meet with me in person to save some money on shipping. I think we both drove for over an hour to meet. Me from Louisville KY and Barry from the Indianapolis IN area. He even called me once to wave me off when the weather was going to be bad and I wasn't paying attention.
It was truly a blessing talking with Barry and getting to know him a little bit. Also, I would have no problem purchasing from him again.
