Post by W5XXL »

Am I the only one that finds it humorous when folks list there rigs for sale with a hand "mike"? I want to email them and ask what exactly this Mike character has to do with the purchase of the radio..... LOL

Mike and his friend Manuel come over and do your yard work for you, PLUS you get a radio.... That's a hard deal to beat.

Had to vote "mike" after researching it. "mike" appears in my late 20th century Webster's unabridged dictionary, "mic" does not. Further research online indicates that "mike", as a synonym for "microphone", has been in the vernacular since 1924. Ya learn something new every day.
