Anyone ever deal with Everett H Latalian, W4EHL ??

Post by rja1 »

I put out a want ad on QTH & eHam. Everett responded to my ad. At first, everything appeared normal. When I asked if he took paypal, he responded he would only take a USPS P.M.O.. Then said he was away, but his sister could ship it to me. My gut feeling here is that something is not right. Not much info on google.

Tnx & 73 de bob,

I have not dealt with him but did receive a email stating " was I still interested in a FT-450D". Funny thing was I did not answer an ad for that type of radio. The first Email just had his name and I asked for his call sign, which he gave right away. I checked it on QRZ and it comes back good. So maybe he is not use to doing business on the internet and just has a DIFFERENT way of interacting with folks. This does not mean he is a bad or good guy. Just my 2 cents. I reserve any judgement !!

Several weeks ago I placed a FOR SALE for a New Alpha 2100 dummy load on QRZ and QTH.com's and W4EHL responded, said consider it sold and over a week later I still was no closer to getting the money. Last word I heard from him was I will send the money before next week and I will keep you posted.

I did a search and found out he was doing this to others as well. So I relisted my ad and sold the item in 2 days to a real buyer. BEWARE of W4EHL Everett in Orlando, FL as he does not keep his word.

Smells like a duck....

I advertised looking for an SDR-IQ. Got an email from him with a cu/paste of the RFSpace product description from this same guy with a price of $500. I replied I could get a new one for less. His reply was how much would I offer....

This seems somewhat OK but stood the hairs up on my neck. Next stop, QTH feedback forum. Thanks folks! I know not to deal with him.
