BEWARE - JIM IGOE - N3IGO

Post by flash »

Watch out for Jim Igoe, N3IGO. On January 10, 2009 he listed a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, to which I responded. (Ad #712780) We worked out a deal in which I would trade two of my dual band mobile radios for the laptop. A FT-8000 and a FT-90R.

He told me to ship my radios to his new address at 301 Lakeside Manor, in Scranton, PA since he had recently moved and was not at his listed address of HC1, Box 105, Hawley, PA. His cell phone number is (570) 702-3047. I shipped both my radios on January 13, 2009 via UPS, which were received by him of January 15, 2009.

To date he has not shipped or responded to my emails, disregarded contacts by the DA’s office in his county of residence, and did not appear at a court hearing on April 24, 2009. A default judgment has been issued.

At this point I am taking several additional steps to resolve his actions. A copy of the default judgment is being forwarded to the Lackawanna Sheriffs office for execution, a copy to the three major credit bureaus, and finally to the FCC.

Be careful in dealing with Jim Igoe (N3IGO)

Glad to see that there's at least one ham out there who'll go after a scammer instead of sitting around and crying "WOE IS ME".

Two thumbs up!
