Just wanted to let all know that i did a trade with Jim berfore Christmas and found him to be a top Ham to trade or buy from........

I also had a dealig with Jim, face to face. He is a real gentleman and a man of his word. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

He is not a very nice person or a great guy!!!!
I won a kenwood SM-220 from him in late Dec 2008 on e-bay. He said it was functional but he failed to mention that the couplings were broken and glued and that the housing behind the front panel that holds the crt into place was broken off allowing the crt to just dangle there. You could see where he attempted to do a hack job in gluing the crt to the side of the remaining housing.
I filed a claim with Paypal. So much for buyer protection! They don't know anything about this kind of stuff and since he is a power seller. They don't want to loose their income.
He submitted so many lies to Paypay telling them that this kind of thing happens all the time. Buyers receive the equipment, replace good parts with bad/broken parts and then make false claims. This may be true in some cases, I don't really know about that but he accused me of doing the same.
Now, I have to buy another unit because of this jerk. In these hard times when you spend $335.00 you should be expecting a little more than a broken piece of equipment or at anytime.
As far as I'm concerned good ole boy Jim is a fraud, a liar, he has no character, no concise, and no morals.
I am a 20+ year Navy veteran of the Viet-Nam, Gulf War and I have met better people on the battlefield, i.e the enemy! You know where they are coming from before you even meet them. They are out to kill you before you do them in.
I will never buy anything from this guy again! He is a HAM Radio Extra to boot!!!! So much for integrity in his ranks!
