Has anyone ever attended the Harrisburg, Pa. Winter hamfest? I have a bad case of cabin fever and would like to attend this hamfest. The distance from my qth is considerable and I was wondering how big this hamfest is and would it be worth traveling 100 miles round trip. Comments...

I was 55 miles one-way from Harrisburg back in the late 70s/early 80s. Made the trip fine (of course...gas prices were but a small fraction of what they are today)

Nowadays, here in SE Washington state in order to attend a hamfest comparable in size and quality to the Harrisburg (as I remember it!) one I have to travel 225+ miles one-way. Makes for an interesting (and long!) day.

Why is it so difficult to get a straight answer on here rather than discussing what constitutes a long trip?

I would wonder how big it could possibly be since it is held in a firehouse according to their flyer.

Trust me, if someone knew the answer to your question - they would have jumped in by now. Have another cup of coffee!

Its Harrisburg Pa not
Resume speed, North Dakota..

How small could it be. .
what every one has said is the mileage should not be a consideration
for that close a hamfest..

Just Go...
I go 60 miles each way to Hallie swap fest in the summer, outdoor tailgater.
maybe 20 or so sellers.
thats worth the trip. I do happen to know some of the attrendees..
