Just what it says -- this is the place for any discussions not related to Buying, Selling and Trading ham gear. The discussion must be related to Ham Radio.

Help with a 618T-3 ???

Post by WB4FEA »

Has anyone gotten a 618T running and, if so what are the pitfalls? Also does anyone have a schematic, manual I could copy? The vendors, such as Fair Radio, want $70 and up for a photo copy and $200-300 for an original. To add insult to this is the fact that there seems to be free downloadable manuals up for just about everything Collins has ever made-except this! Thanks for any help! Mike WB4FEA

618T Manuals

Fair is cheap compared to Collins. Their prices range from $250 and up depending upon how many parts there are.

The are "free" for download if you are an avionics shop and have access to their database.

The T-3 is a noisy beast, with 400 cps inverters and so on. 28V requirements are not all that bad, but they are noisy.
