Suspected Internet and Mail Fraud

Post by tom8p6 »

Hi! I answered an ad for an IC-718 Ny Key Paddle combination and an MFJ Tuner price $475.00 USDposted by Patrick M. O'Brien KC2QNY on the ARRL site on Aug 02, 07 posted him money orders for the amount Aug 14, 07, he confirmed receipt on Aug 20, 07. After long email exchanges re non delivery via FfedX or DHL as mutually agreed, he said he would ship on Sept 4, 07 but could not supply Tracking Number when requested . When pressed further, he said that there was a problem with the packeges shipped, but on checking with fedx and DHL, they both confirmed that Mr. O'Brien had posted nothing to me between Aug 20, 07 to date and further email sent to him was returned undelivered. Please inform me If anyone else has answered his and suffered the same fate.

Suspected Mail and internet fraud

Bill's WA8MEA comments in reference to Barbados Postal Money Orders, as worthless trash because a Bank refused to cash them is totally misleading.

All U.S.A sellers whom I have paid via Barbados Postal Money Orders have receiver payment simply by cashing them at a Post Office where indeed they should be cashed, and as stated in my feedback, Mr. O'Brien having confirmed receipt of the cash is no exception, and makes Bill's speculation as to what transpired totally baseless.

Bill, these are the facts as apposed to speculation.

Mr. O'Brien confirmed receipt of the Postal Money Orders on August 20, 2007. On August 27, 2007 he confirmet that the Post Office cashed them and that he did received the cash. On September 4, 2007 he confirmed that he had shipped the equipment.

Persons can choose either to speculate, or accept the facts, and that is called freedom of choice.

Ok Bill,

A different point of view is always healthy. Wouldn't life be boring if we all always saw eye to eye.

Hope to meet you on the bands. 73
