SB200 amp what PA tubes are used

Post by WA9AAA »

Are there two types of Pa tubes on an SB200? If so, what are they?

This is the feedback forum. A forum that is used to post experiences with dealing with hams. You might have more responses to your question if you posted it on a more appropiate forum.

The only tube produced today that will work in a Heathkit SB-200 is 572B.. RF Parts, Inc is a good source for these tubes.. You may have heard that the 811 and 572B are interchangeable.. A 572B will work (at reduced output) in place of an 811. But due to the higher plate voltage normally applied to a 572B, an 811 cannot be installed in place of it..
