Help about Kenwood TS-940S

I have a Kenwood TS-940S that lost its receive on the amateur bands only. The receive is still working on general coverage but not the amateur bands. It is transmitting fine, full 100 watts but no receive.
I have gone over everything on the radio and all controls are where they should be. I was not touching anything when this happened it just went dead like as if I unpluged the antenna. I tried resetting the microprocessor and this did nothing.
I have gone thru the manual from cover to cover and can not find anything that tells me what to do about this problem.
If anyone has any ideas on what to do, please let me know.
