MFJ-495

Post by n9lxv »

I have been studying the MFJ-495 and would like to know if I can use this to monitor incoming CW. Also, is CW the only mode for the 495?

Thanks and have a good day!

Since it is a CW Memory Keyer, what other mode would one want...as it says ... SEND CW..! There are no connections to a receiver. Only connections to a transmitter or input from a keyboard to generate a message ... thus memory.

As it says, it is a CW Memory Keyer...that is it drives the transmitter...period.

Thanks for the very blunt response. I wasn't attempting to post a lame and unlearned message. I am tilling old ground (it has been many years) since I have used CW. I was told that the 495 could send received CW to an attached monitor. Thus, I decided to tap into the highly knowlegeable participants at QTH.com...

Thanks again...
