VHF RFI on telephone Line

Hi DE KB3LMV Paul
I have been battling VHF RFI since last summer.It occured only on 145.150 MHz,my local repeater output freq.It would create an S7-9 noise floor.
I locates the source was from phone line.Lineman unhooked line from house still there.Pulled outside disconnect no noise.reconnected and move d to inside main breaker,same thing.switched off each breaker & located offending circuit.I switched of power strips and located as a plugged in FAX MACHINE,unplugged it and BYE BYE NOISE.fax was powered but no phone connection.Offender is Brother IntelliFAX 775.I'm spreading the to all with problem.
