Cleaning and lubing a roller inductor

Post by W2TGR »

There seems to be lots of questions about cleaning and lubing a roller inductor. Cleaning use either De-Oxit or alcohol. for lubricating I contacted Palstar...They kindly sent me some of their grease for my AT2K AND their grease formula.
3 parts graphite
1 part lithum grease
Hope that helps

I would guess electrical grease from electric supply/hardware store, used on aluminum wire connections,, also in auto work.. My suggestion is just rub some on your fingers to make them slightly
slick and wipe along the shaft. thus a very thin coat. At a slow speed, not much lub is needed.
