A Basic Packet Station?

Post by N9EVR »

Since I now live on the top of a BIG hill, I am trying to be more active in my radio activites. What I want to find out is what all I need to setup a basic packet station, preferably some specific equipment recommendations. Currently, I only have an ICOM 2100H, which works fine.

Thanks :D

Hi Dan! I have a PK232MBX that I was going to sell very cheaply, but if you want to borrow it to see what you can do, that would be fine by me. You know how to get ahold of me!

make sure you get a users guide to that rascal the MBX is a son of a gun to set up and use to the novice I can tell you from personal experience.
I'm sure Scott can give you all of the short cuts to keep you from being in a manual that reads like "Gone with the wind"...hi....hi
