What desk mic to get for Icom V-8000

What desk mic to get for Icom V-8000

Anyone have any idea whats a good plug and play desk mic for a Icom V-8000? No one seems to have a clue about this. I did contact a guy on youtube that had a sm26 mic and he stated he's only used it once or twice and just uses the radio to listen to railroad frequencies so wasn't much of a help. Appreciated if known and thanks

From ICOM, it would be the SM25 (available on aftermarket, now discontinued) or SM26 (current). There are others that will work but most will require modification of the connector.
