JRC JST-100 problem - Please Help

Post by 13131313 »

Hello All,

I have a JRC JST-100 transceiver.

I have discovered that the radio displays a error code 4 which blinks 4 times and then the radio initializes. It also puts the rig in CW mode and sets all the memory channels to 7.000. The manual states that there is damage to the memory.

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Just a wild guess, but the powering up to 7.000 looks like a default position.

check the rig for a memory battery.. My guess the battery is dead.

HELLO,
THANKS FOR REPLYING TO MY REQUEST FR HELP.
i FOUND THE BATTERY DEAD AND REPLACED IT.
THE SYMPTOMS ARE AN ERROR CODE-THE NUMBER 4, BLINKS FOUR TIMES UPON POWER UP - NOT ALWAYS, AND THE RIG DEFAULTS TO THE CW MODE. IN ADDITION, THE MEMORY CHANNELS RE ALL DEFAULTED TO 7.000.
I CAN KEY IT UP NO PROBLRM, AND THE RECEIVER PERFORMS IN THE CW MODE NO MATTER WHAT MODE YOU SELECT-NOTE THAT THE CW INDICATOR STAYS ON IN ADDITIION TO THE INDICATOR FOR THE MODE YOU SELECT.
IS THERE A RESET PROCEDURE? THE MANUAL STATES THAT THERE IS DAMAGE TO CONTENTS IN THE RAM.
