take it apart.. wring out the wires..
most likely there are 4 wires.. red black white and shield common.
red mic white ptt black common or ground shield on mic wire.(mic common)

ground, ,, ptt ,,, mic hot ,,,,,,, shield on mic hot.

shield and ground likely tied together.

match to the htx diagram..

Still not difficult..

4 more wires...

up down voltage and data out...

up and down should be easy to eyeball.. or by color code. /ohm meter.

voltage and data out a bit more work.

check the pad board... pick a wire going to it and study the components conected to it.. follow the foil path.. if it appears to go lots of places its likely the power lead.
check the other. it likley only goes to one place, a capacitor. hooked to the collector of a transistor,, the driver for the data out signal,,( all the tones)

as long has you have or can get the HTX schematic, should be easy..

the voltage pin out of the HTX is the dangerous one. applying voltage to the wrong place could kill either end..
.if the HTX putsout 8 volts wqhich is common,, you might use a 9 volt battery to power the mic untill you are certain of your wireing.
