How to avoid being ripped off

Post by harley »

Ask the seller to ship it COD and you will have a postal money order waiting for the UPS man. This protects both parties. You'll be assured of gettng the gear and they will be assured of not getting a bad check. I've hardly ever been turned down for this. If they do you just saved yourself some money. Ebay sellers will not do it but if you're buying on ebay you're asking for it anyway. Look for your stolen gear on ebay also. A lot of it is showing up there. It makes sense. These people are obviously not hams so how did they get the gear in the first place ? Estate sales ? If that is true then all the hams in the world have dropped dead to have as much estate gear that is on ebay.
