Nowadays with laser printers and a host of check printing and publishing programs you can print checks and money orders that even fool the tellers. This was talked about on the Clark Howard show one time and is becoming more and more common. Appealing to people's greed you'll get an out of country buyer who will offer you a price substantially more than your asking price and will send you a money order very quickly. After about 7 - 10 business days the bank finally figures out the M.O. is no good. You are now out of your equipment, plus out of country shipping costs and the penalties your bank charges for bad checks.
You've been advised.
