Pick Up The Phone and Call

Post by W6KY »

When buying anything over an amount that is going to bother you if the deal goes South, pick up your cell phone and use some of that 'free' long distance before putting a check, money order in the mail. Talk to the seller and get a feel if this is a person you want to do business with. If the person can't describe that SX-101 or IC-7800 properly, and you feel uneasy, wait for the next SX-101 or IC-7800 to surface. I have talked to almost every seller I have purchased from on QTH.com and have never had a problem. I backed out of one that was over $1000 because I just didn't like the preceived quality of the seller. 2 weeks later, I bought the same unit for $300 less here on QTH.

This is sooooo true! If I can not get a phone number ... I do not deal! You can learn a great deal by speaking directly to the "seller."
