PAYPAL 180 day

As a seller, i am concerned about the 180 day window for a complaint. How is a seller protected with this type of transaction. Obviously listing the item the best you can and keeping your correspondence about the transaction would offer some protection. Do you sell it AS-IS? Suggestions?

sell local i guess would be best :)
