Sellers claiming item has original warranty card, receipt..

Post by KB3RPE »

:?: I see many ads here & on other Swap boards with sellers stating "with unfilled warranty card". My question is unless it's an Icom less than 12 months old, so what????

FYI, per my conversation today with Yaesu today, they (& Kenwood) ONLY honor warranty to ORIGINAL OWNER for 12 months, none transferable. So if I sell you an Icom under 1 year old & provide proof of purchase or had previously registered rig on Icom site, your OK to buy and have balance of warranty up to 12 months. Buy a "used" Yaesu or Kenwood you have no warranty transfer, regardless of "original receipt, unfilled warranty card, etc" :!:

I wonder are all these sellers that unaware or :?:

My 2 ¢ worth, your mileage may vary..............
