Asking... FIRM!

Post by W4XQ »

That one always gets me. "Asking $200 FIRM" is an oxymoron. If you are ASKING $200 that implies you are willing to negotiate. If the price is $200 FIRM, then there is no negotiation. Am I the only person who thinks this? No big deal, just makes me shake my head every time I see it. That is all.

Yes, but...

It also might mean "I am asking you to pay $200 for it and if you don't want it at my price, I will not negotiate, I will just keep it."

That reminds me of the guy who says he will pay in cash, for a little discount, and then proceeds to hang you with a check or credit card, or really sadly, Paypal !
