EDITING AD NOW PUTS YOU AT THE TOP & EXTENDS EXPIRATION DATE
Let's say that you placed an ad two weeks ago. You now decide to lower the price of the item. In the old days, if you would have edited the ad with a new price, the ad would still be listed far down the list of ads, since the ad is two weeks old. So, to get attention, you might have deleted the old ad, and placed a new ad. This would have brought you "to the top" of the listings. Effective, but time consuming.
I have made this process a lot easier. Now, every time you edit your ad, it automatically changes the date to TODAY, so your ad now will be "at the top" (at least for a little while) and it ALSO extends the expiration date out to six weeks from today.
RENEWING YOUR AD IS NOW POSSIBLE -- AND EASY!
So, with this new feature, to "renew" your ad, all you have to do is EDIT it, make any changes (or make NO changes) and submit the form. Your ad will now be "at the top" and renewed for another 6 weeks. Cool, eh? Hopefully, this will reduce the amount of multiple listings, where people relist their items seemingly daily, in attempt to be at the top of the listings.
EDIT: On Sept 23, 2003, the policy on renewal of ads was changed so that your ad can only be edited / renewed a total of 3 times.
