Have had a Kenwood 570D but was not happy with DSP noise reduction on SSB. Alinco DX77t with JPS nir 10 worked to my satisfaction on SSB.
Has anyone had to opportunity to compare the 570D (g) with the vintage outboard processors like JPS? What bothered me on the original kenwood was the pumping effect of the audio when using noise reduction for SSB.
The JPS did a FB job on this as it has the ability to adjust the level of background (band) noise reduction for SSB.
Am moving back to a place where I will be allowed a decent antenna and am trying to decide if going with a Kwd 570d (g) would satisify my needs.
BTW, DX77's are very hard to find used.
