YAESU FT-650 (24.5 28 & 50MHz)

Post by K8PDQ »

Anyone have any idea what my YAESU FT-650 is worth :?:
I bought it new, has filters although I forgot what's in it.
Orig Mic, Yaesu FT-650 Brochure, internal PS ect. Non smoker.
The only thing I can think of, is the light for the meter is out.
I have taken very good care of this rig.

Tnx,
Stan

Neat looking rig. I saw one on QRZ for sale last month for $850. I don't know if that rig sold or for how much.

I like the looks of the rig and it looks perfect for the throngs of Techs who would kill for something like this, but I would not even consider paying anywheres near $850 for it.
Too many HF/2M/440 rigs out there for the same price brand new.

But, that is just me....I have been proven wrong before.

I just saw an ad from May/2009 and the seller is asking $1600. Don't know if he got it, but you may be setting on a goldmine.

I also found a Mod that is s'posed to open that thing up from160M to 6M.

I have seen several list them at 700/800 but they never sell for anything near that. There are too many HF rigs that sell for less. I had one and the best I could get for it was $350.00 and it was pristine in operation and appearance 6 years ago. Up to you if you want to sell it what to ask and 700/800 won't do it. I would expect now days to get about 300.00 max. Just too much new stuff that cost a lot less, and covers the whole spectrum.

Good LUCK!
