Rare find?

Post by WB4UNA »

Ihave a P & H Electronics linear Amplifier model # LA-400B that I would like to know what it might be worth. It looks 9/10. It did work a couple of years ago.
I have not seen any of these around .

thanks ahead of time,

Hi Randy;
you've not seen many because not many were made.
Does it use the 837 tubes or modified 1625's?
I had one once, built nice but I believe it was not meant to be used with a Transceiver, only with receiver/transmitter combo?
I would suspect that if working it might be worth a few $100 to a collector.

It runs the 837 tubes. I have seen the one that is on the rig pix page but it looks nothing like this one. it looks and works . I just wanted to know more about it. I have the manual for it also which is a plus.

thanks again

Hi Randy;
Chances are that you'll never use it.
You might try putting it on Ebay to get really what its worth or try selling it here on QTH for $200?
I have no use for it but it brings back memories of the Olden Days.
