I recently posted a want ad here on QTH. I received a reply from someone pretending to be 2E0IMT. I noticed the email address he sent me was different from that listed on QTH. I contacted the real 2E0IMT using his correct email address instead of the one the scammer provided. It turned out that 2E0IMT knew nothing about my want ad. This scammer is using 2E0IMT@gmail.com.Beware of this thief! [/b]

I just now also received an email from him (2e0imt). I posted a wanted ad for a Kenwood radio yesterday. He just sent me a price of $900 and wants me to send him a Western Union payment. You should see the high end pictures he sent me. Here is the email:

Hi Ronni,

Attached are photos of my Kenwood TS-870S. Its in mint condition and
fully functional. Comes from a non-smoking environment. Its complete
with original manual, TCXO, DRU-3A, stock hand mic, power cord. I'm
asking $900USD for it including shipping and delivery. I can arrange
double boxed shipping via UPS or FedEx whichever you prefer and shall
accept payment via Western union or Money gram. What's your complete
shipping address? Let me know.

73,

Ian.

Two hints: gmail, and Western Union.
Automatic end of transaction.
