AJ2W Larry Dajnowski

Post by highjtower73 »

I have a protech freq counter on QTH for sell.
I got a message from aj2w he said he would take it.
I replied ok and gave him the payment info, the next day he started asking questions asking about a manual I told him I had no manual nor did I list one with it.

Then he said: "It should come with a "BNC" cable
and manual according to the Spec Sheet
which I found on the Web."

So I will pass....don't want to have
to pay for items that should come with it.

When I told him I did not say it came with a manual he started emailing me emails I can not post here if you want to see them I will forward them to you.

Yes it should come with a manual but I dont have one nor did I say it came with one.
Just a post to let you know BEWARE if you dont want 4 letter words in your email box 73'S :)

I have dealt with Larry on some very HIGH ticket items in the past. I found him to be honorable, decent, and straight forward. I didn't list a manual either but included it. It is my opinion that "NO MANUAL" means that. Nothing means that it should be included. It sounds like you were embarassed to be selling a half baked basket case with limited support. He figured it out and you decided to bash him in a preemptive strike. Larry is a GOOD person. I think that you may have missed a sale but to bring that to a forum with a "NO PAY" title is scandalous. Of course he didn't pay. He didn't buy anything. I haven't paid you either. And I never bought anything from you. I suppose anyone that hasn't purchased from you is a NO PAY bum.

If you are going to bash someone, at least have the common decency to bash the deserving. The fact that you didn't get paid for something you didn't sell is not justification for your vindictive headline. It seems a small wonder that he elected to abort the transaction. You make it sound like he stole from you.

SHAME ON YOU for being so vengeful. SHAME SHAME SHAME.

I guess Ill take it does not mean sold.

Post by highjtower73 »

Larry was the one who said :

"I will take it.
Hope you use PayPal; cannot get to the post office easily due to work and distance.

Thanks
73, Larry AJ2W"

Sorry but I thought that ment it was sold.
I guess it ment he would take it if I would be so kind as to give it to him, and pay shipping .
Ya this is your straight forward friends email to me. He said "F-ck YOU."
I guess this means he wants to be good friends.
I take it he is a democrat. I guess it depends on what the of the word is is.
Or in this case Ill take it does not mean it is sold it means I will take it if you will give it to me?

You have a half baked idea of what I will take it means. :)

Mr. highjtower73, (Do you have a callsign?)

Perhaps to avoid problems in the future, if you are selling something and you are missing part of the equipment such as a manual or cable you should let potential buyers know. If AJ2W didn't ask (albeit a little late - after he said he'll take it) and purchased your frequency counter he would have been very disappointed when he received it without the manual. He may have made a Feedback Forum post claiming you didn't inform him of the missing item.

There is no excuse for the four letter word emails that followed after you informed him of the missing manual.

73,
John

I don't think so.

Post by K4ICL »

Nonsense! You were not wrong.

The prospective buyer is responsible for determining if the item he wants is satisfactoy BEFORE he says he will buy it, NOT after. The seller should have asked what was included in the deal BEFORE he agreed to buy it. Since he didn't, he should have paid for it and tracked down any missing items himself.

Folks, buying and selling on the Internet is no different than buying and selling at a Hamfest or at WalMart. YOU must determine if you are willing to pay for what is offered and it is up to YOU to determine EXACTLY WHAT IS OFFERED.

Finally, there is no justification for the use offensive and/or insulting language in business.

AJ2W's Response to this Non-Sense

Post by AJ2W »

First off I never send emails with profanity of any kind.so this
seller is way off base and is making up comments as he goes.

Did not know about this Feedback Forum and the conversations
that took place via email happened back in Aug 2004 so I am
very late in responding.

All I can say is Beware of this Seller. He is upset
because he did not sell an item that was misrepresented.
I have sold many high and low ticket items on QTH.com
and have had many buyers that changed their minds;
so be it; go on and sell the item to someone else.

Derogatory made up comments are not necessary whatsoever.

I also suspect the seller is a CB'er, and I can attest they
have invaded the QTH.com board.
I purchased a FT-900 that had the serial number sticker
removed from the bottom of the radio. Found out later
the guy was not a Ham. The radio was beat up but thank
goodness it worked.

Sad day for Ham Radio when these things happen.
Also this feedback forum may have more negatives
than positives.

What a idiot.
I guess I will have to leave a remark on QTH about saying one thing and doing another.
No where did I say it came with a manual.
Sure it should if it was new.
What a idiot.

Well I did not respond to the ebay Ad so
I know nothing about that.

It should come with a "BNC" cable
and manual according to the Spec Sheet
which I found on the Web.

So I will pass....don't want to have
to pay for items that should come with it.

Do have two questions:

Does the Counter come with some sort of
probe that connects to the input(s) ?
Does it come with its original box and
manual ?

Thanks

DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATIONS:

Another way to support QTH.com is through registering your domain names
through my domain name registration site, http://www.YourCallSign.com. Or,
if you already have a domain name for yourself (like ka9fox.com or k4ja.com)
or for your club (like w9smc.com or pvrcnc.org) or even for your ham or
non-ham business... these domain names can be transferred to my system for
as little as $9.95 per year. The transfer also includes a 1 year domain
extension. Transferring to YourCallSign.com could save you considerable
money, compared to the $35 per year that Network Solutions charges, and you
will be supporting QTH.com at the same time. If you are interested, either

It is very easy to post an "Email" that has nothing to do with reality. Since August, I have had other dealings with AJ2W and found nothing but success and a gentlemanly behavior.

It is easy to make things appear different than reality. For instance,
CUT/PASTE (fake and fraud):

You are a nutcase.
Kiss my a$$ you f-cking fool.
If you don't want it, I'll find another sucker
What a idiot.
RH
END CUT/PASTE FAKE AND FRAUD*******
Obviously that is a markup. It shows how easy it is to "prove" one's side of a story without regard to the truth.

Mr Dajnowski decided that it was not in his best interest to make a purchase that was questionable and did not include all associated supporting material and cabling. He backed out. That hardly qualifies as a form of fraud. Perhaps the seller was disappointed that he/she/it was unable to unload the POS as quickly as it seemed.

Folks:

If you want to find an original email message, unaltered, they seem to abound on sites that collect and store email traffic.

Using search engines of various sorts, it may surprise you to discover where your email messages go.

Don't be too quick to think the other guy is faking his "evidence" before you have done a thorough search for the original. You just might find it.
