Has anybody heard of this person using this callsign and the name of Hanafi? The replies to my ad were vague and set off the Bovine Scatolgy alarm's.

Sounded a lot like Mike Howie from South Africa, vague about the item for sale, who was using Yahoo email account that has been since shut down..

The callsign came back on Hamcall.net with nothing more than the single name and email address. The email address is from an telecom provider/ISP in Malaysia.

As the great philosophers of the 20th century, Cheech and Chong once said. If it looks, smells and tastes like ****, then it must be ****.

After doing quite a bit more research, it appears that this person is legit. The call sign he provided was good and it checked out to his full name with the Malaysian Communications Commission.

This is what happens when you get stuff from scammers who's command of the English language extremely poor (spelling errors, etc). It makes us very carefully when we get messages from folks who are working very hard to try to comunicate with us for valid reason's.

Scammer???
