I usually wouldn't post feedback like this...but this man caused me three to four hours of labor for nothing.

Billy K4WMM and I worked out a deal over email Wednesday for my very heavy linear amplifier...over 100 pounds! We secured the deal the same day with a half-hour phone call in which Billy said he wanted the ampfor sure. He even sent me an email restating our phone conversation.

"CHRIS I WILL SEND YOU A CHECK FOR 2375.00 ON FRIDAY
MORNING AS WE TALKED ABOUT ON THE PHONE.PLEASE
PACK IT WELL AS I KNOW YOU WILL AND IF YOU WOULD
SEND ME THE TRACKING NUMBER WHEN YOU SHIP IT"

Well, the good guy that I am I decided to disconnect this 2 piece amp from my station and triple box each cabinent and separatly box all three tubes in order to ship the amp immediatly upon receipt of money order.

This is biilly's info:

WILLIAM M MUNDY, JR K4WMM
222 TRAYFOOT ROAD
GROTTOES VA 24441

I check my email friday to get a whimpy email from Billy saying he doesn't want it anymore. He had my phone number and could have called me...but just sends me just a very short email.

Billy has cost me at least four hours of labor between packing and unpacking this amp only to reinstall at my station until future sale. Do not trust written or verbal contractual agreements with Billy...and do not ship anything until you receive cash in hand!

The Moral of this story is "Don't pack anything until you receive payment!"

It used to be when a Ham gives his word that was his bond...not anymore I guess...

I just need to vent my frustration one more time against K4WMM!!! As I spent 2 hours last night unboxing the amp and putting the three tubes back in the rf deck and then reinstalling the complete system!

Just FYI Billy, I used 12 boxes to pack this amp. Triple oversized boxed RF Deck, Tripple oversized boxed transformer, and all 3 tubes boxed within a triple box! So it was packed good like you requested! Guess that doesn't matter now as you don't follow your end of the bargain!!!

***AVOID BILLY K4WMM AT ALL COST***
He will just waste your time!

Reminds me of one time....

Although my seller went through with his purchase, I received no less than 30 emails (about 6 a day) before the purchase with questions about the radio and no less than 20 after the purchase asking me how to use it. The guy thought free lifetime tech support was a part of the deal I guess. It might be a little justified for expensive HF equipment, but this was for a $140 HT.

hi hi...I think providing that kind of tech support for a HT is a little dumbfounding if not totaly annoying! I would have gave him his $140.00 back and told him to keep the radio and stop emailing me...hihi, just kidding!

Now how do you turn this darn HT on again??? hehe
