Scammer Alert "Frank SWL"

Post by w7ry »

Watch out for this scammer:

Name: Frank
Callsign: SWL
E-mail: r4u@bellsouth.net
IP Address: 216.225.108.217 -- (Check IP at https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/216.225.108.217)

Said he had a Kenwood TH-F6 for sale in response of my want.
Asked for pictures and a phone number. He said it worked great. I asked how he knew is worked great with no license.

Turned into a smartass!

Beware!

scammer is an insult from a grumpy old ham. Too publish my e-mail address is borderline illegal.

The more info was given the more was asked for.

I only used it for shortwave and ham hf listening but have a licensed ham friend who tested it for me for transmit functions.

I have never scammed anyone and in this case I'm glad we never made a deal because I know he wanted to steal it for half of its value.
