Scammer using K1CHI

Post by W5JRT »

I was recently contacted by person using K1CHI callsign on two of my for sale ads.
Individual wanted to know if items were still for sale.
I responded yes, and this is the response I received.

“ Okay I'm Willing to pay your asking price for you to reserve it in my favor.. And I'll be mailing a Company check for the payment, and once the bank posts the fund, which shouldn't take more than a day, I'll arrange for the shipping.“

I responded that I would not take a company check and to please provide a USPS money order.
No response.

I checked the email address and it was not the same as listed for K1CHI on QRZ.

Email being used was: roseann0000007@gmail.com

I checked the IP address and it was not in 1 land but from Texas.

Seller Beware.
