KD4EPG sold equipment not as described

Post by N9PNL »

I bought a Kenwood TM-V7A from him and he claimed that everything was in working order. When the radio arrived it would not program or enter frequencies from the mic. Had to program using buttons on the head unit and the up/down buttons on mic. That only worked on the 2 m side the 440 side only would program the same way with only simplex frequencies. The radio would connect on frequencies programmed into the radio. Mr. Dennis Yancey never checked the mic or any programming inputs. He refuses to refund my purchase. Beware.

I contacted Kenwood and they said that the unit needs repair however they do not support that radio any more. I also had a tech look at it and said it was more to fix that purchasing a new radio of like kind and quality and they could fix it if they could get parts.

It is amazing how the facts are twisted and others left out.. like the one where it was 17 days before he even notified me he had any kind of a problem. A lot of things can happen in 17 days. The radio left my hands in good shape, working as it should. Any other information about Mr. Gailey's "facts", please feel free to email me and I will gladly share with you.

There is a saying down south that goes like this... "The hen that cackles the loudest is the one that laid the egg.. ".
