First of all, let me say that I've done business with Ray numerous times over the years and have always been extremely satisfied. I've even given his contract information to folks looking for custom power cords. He sells alot of items and I've never heard a complaint
At the beginning of this month, I purchased a "working" Yaesu FT-100 from Ray. A friend of mine, who knows Ray personally paid for it and had it shipped directly to me. Keep in mind that I have to pay my friend back. It was not a gift. Once I received the radio and hooked it up, there was no transmit. My friend told Ray and he responded that I don't know radios. I've been licensed 44 years, repair radios and have had this model before. Ray never did contact me. Just a few emails to my friend about my ineptness. They were forwarded to me.
Now, I'm stuck with a $400 receiver.
I couldn't be more disappointed. I've bought and sold quite a bit over the years. A few times, the buyer was dissatisfied. I promptly returned their money and they returned my item. I've also purchased a few items that were not as described. The sellers did the same. Ham radio is a hobby and supposed to be fun. We are all supposed to be gentlemen and ladies. Unfortunately, there are a few out there like Ray.

I feel it necessary that I put this post out there for all to read!
I did pay for the radio that Ray sold,- however I did NOT see/receive/operate the ft-100!!
The radio went straight to Joe,..I loaned Joe the money to get the radio. Joe paid me back in full for the non transmitting ft-100.
Upon arrival to Joe the radio did NOT transmit. Joe sold the radio for parts & the new owner repaired the radio,-it had a bad ribbon cord inside of the radio. I will let you readers be the jury & settle the verdict...
I have since sold Joe a 100% working ft-100D. In which I loaned him the money again & he repaid in full.
In the feedback it sounds like I am the bad guy,..I am hoping all HAMS that read this agree that I am not!
