Oh ya!!! Typical scammer letter. It very closely seems to resemble nigerian oil scam letters I've been getting in the past.

It would appear that the Aussie's slight variations on the English language have taken a severe turn for the worse! No self respecting Australian would compose such jibberish. The Australians may be coarse and may be crude. However, they are literate!

The funny thing is that the price is listed in the ad for it too.

Strangely, the fax number is a Dutch number (Netherlands). Australia and Switzerland must have moved.

... Australia and Switzerland must have moved.

Most likely the scammer is working out of a good ol' USA address.

Could be a neighbor. Could be an inmate in any number of prisons.

Could be anyone, anywhere...

Scam the Scammers!!

Hey, if you guys keep posting all these scam alerts, you're gonna RUIN my new sub-hobby, which is collecting these bogus checks. So far, I've got five of them, worth a tad over $24k. Most of them are really pathetic and look like they were run off on a $39 ink-jet printer. Some of the names are also a hoot. I was supposed to send the equipment to a "John Daniels", probably Jack's brother, and the check was from, of all people, "Morgan Freemen". Next I suspect they'll send one from John Kerry. Oh that's right, nobody remembers who that was anyway. Oh well, it's been fun while it lasted. The sad part is that I actually know someone who was taken for $6 large + his radio.
