AE5OX scammer (real ham notified)

Post by W7ESR »

AE5OX is a scammer. I have contacted the real ham and he does not have anything for sale. Scammer has hacked QRZ and turned off/deleted most of the info to make him appear legit. Scammer is using a similar email to the real one which makes it appear more legit. Scammer is using Willie L Clark as the name under ae5ox.19@gmail. Authentic owner used Willie Clark and bigwill1954.wc@gmail.com.

The fraudulent ad was just on the cusp of too good to be true but close enough for a fast sale around the holidays. Always check the IP address link to make sure the service provider is in the same area of the call QTH. This one showed AE5OX located in Texas and the IP logged Europe.

Stay frosty out there and do your due diligence to confirm your purchases before sending funds.
