Update: W3TSB (formerly KB3SQW) Todd Burnham or "Burn Ham"

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Update: W3TSB (formerly KB3SQW) Todd Burnham or "Burn Ham"

Post by wb2iol »

Answered a for sale ad on QTH and was ripped off by Todd Burnham, KB3SQW. Sent payment as requested and item was never shipped. Apparently, he has done this before to other honest hams. If you Google his call, you'll see what I mean. BEWARE!!!

Several others have contacted me with stories of being robbed by this guy too.

There's even a website dedicated to exposing this criminal:

http://toddsburnham.com/

Filed a report with the FBI (IC3) and Mechanicsburg, PA Police Department.

Taking advantage of other hams, especially the financially challenged! Shameful.

Update: Scott from QTH got involved and prompted Todd to ship. The
tuner arrived and it's in poor condition but at least I got it!

Well, you can add me to the list of scammed folks courtesy of KB3SQW Todd Burnham..

Answered an ad for a LDG 1000 PRO antennas tuner on 8 Aug ( https://swap.qth.com/view_ad.php?counter=1449589 ) Sent check, check cashed 15 Aug. Have sent 3 Emails since and no answer. Will be filing with the Postal service (since the US Mail was used) and the Mechanicsburg PD.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all.... Folks, just do NOT buy anything from this sniveling gargoyle.

Contact Scott KA9FOX from QTH. He was very kind and helpful when I had a problem with Toad...I mean Todd.

I've been told by the folks at QTH that ONLY if we pay using PayPal Goods and Services, will we have some buyer protection. Otherwise, we should expect to get ripped off.

No checks, cash, money orders, PayPal FF, Western Union, clam shells or gold nuggets!
