Scammer posing as K5AH is back at it again. 1-15-16

For reports of scammers using other people's callsigns. Remember that any callsigns listed in this forum are likely innocent bystanders (subjects of identity theft) and, thus, are probably not guilty of anything. For bad transactions with verified ham operators, use the Feedback Forum instead.

Scammer posing as K5AH is back at it again. 1-15-16

Post by wz5q »

Be aware that someone, claiming to be Edward Hoffman, K5AH, has contacted me about my WTB posting for a TS-950sdx. The real K5AH does not have a listed email address, but the person claiming to be him is using edwardk5ah@gmail.com to "sell" ham gear. He wanted me to pay him with Paypal and kept insisting for my mailing address. I asked for pictures of the rig I wanted to buy and he sent me some pictures that I matched to a past eBay listing located in Israel. I luckily ran his call sign and his email address into Google and saw all of the past scam attempts. Be Aware this scammer is back at it.
