Beware of KG4WDH. Hijacked call sign. I asked him if his "new" IC-756 pro 2 had the "isotropic radiator" installed. Here is his reply:

yes the radio is still available, and yes it does have the optional temperature control isotropic radiator installed..

Someone using this call also tried to scam me by replying to my "Want" ad for an HF radio on another swapshop. They were using kg4wdh@hotmail.com as the e-mail address. I clued in pretty quickly that it was a scam and my suspicions were confirmed after a few questions:

- offered to sell for ~$300 less than every other "For Sale" ad I've seen
- original owner, only 8 moths old, and selling for less than half of brand new price
- included pictures from other web sites (instead of pictures of the actual radio)
- confirmed that the radio used "BNC" connectors for the antenna
- confirmed that the mic connector was the standard "12-pin" Kenwood connector
- payment via Western Union or money order only, no PayPal
- name and address to send money to was not the same as the seller
- provided a cell phone number for a ham in Chicago (who I've contacted)
- "i had some friends over to watch the El'classico game(match) played in Spain yesterday, i lost my voice due some of arguments and excitements of goals scored and so on, at this moment, am ignoring incoming calls till i have my voice re-gained"
- obvious spelling and grammatical errors

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is! Do your homework and ask questions!

I guess the scammers also read the scam reports on here. Here's the latest I received after my posting about "KG4WDH":

"Hello Chris my dearest friend,

address below

<<mailing address from qrz.com>>

it was confirmed with your name..
