A non-ham buddy taught me to double-wrap the item in plastic wrap and be sure it is sealed up GOOD. Then on the bottom of the packing box, apply a layer of that insulating foam you can get at your hardware or building supply store. Lay the wrapped item on that and fill in the voids with more insulating foam. After the foam sets up, the item won't move and the foam is easy to remove when the package arrives. The key is to BE SURE to keep the foam from leaking in and damaging the item being shippedl. 73s, Tom KC9PXK
