KG8LB, I read your pseudo-legal opinion on my gripe with Radio-Mart. You attempt to sound purely objective but, once the malarkey is aside, I'm left with: a) Too bad sucker -- you shouldn't have accepted his $10 offer. b) Anything goes, its a dog eat dog world out there. Maybe that stuff passes for...

Don,
Are you saying that the items were said to have been shipped two weeks prior to your posting ? It appears from the shipping data that they were shipped two days after your posting here. Maybe the posting here actually helped !

The link between the two has been known, not just suspect for years. I didn't think it was a secret . Any speculation regarding the deletions is just that. Maybe she had second thoughts regarding the use/abuse of religion ?
Nice to see that part removed.

Larry , Sure, the power supply should have been there but it was not. Mistakes occur. Time to "move on". You can assume and express your malicious intent suspicions all you want. Firstly , you cannot prove anything and Martyn's willingnness to present and follow through with a remedy pretty well dis...

So , Larry when you wrote this : Well, Mr. Allison of Radio-Mart did make good on the missing wall transformer, via a refund check. Overall I got a well-kept Drake receiver for a decent price, certainly less than the typical Ebay price for same unit. So, you were not actually as pleased it you made ...

Re: Larry... Your email

One of the great things about America is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Still, I would rather deal with Martyn and his XYL than an illterate CBer any day ! Everyone is free to express quite obvious profundities as well. From my two experiences with Martyn, the first being the sale ...

His call is KC8GBF. He has given it in other threads. One thing for sure, It is one thing to buy from a person who that is very open with identity than one hiding behind a screen name . Yes, I would.

I have not yet bought anything from Martyn . I have however sold him numerous items on eBay. As a buyer Martyn was always polite and prompt. Based upon that experience , I would consider buying from Martyn. Of course using the same safeguards I would apply to any other person that I am not personall...

Mic is an abbreviation of the word microphone and Mike is short for Michael. Neither is a slang for amateur radio. When you are talking about the item you talk into for your voice to go into a radio for broadcast over the air you are talking about a mic or microphone, not a Mike. Have to disagree b...

. I have seen over the years a lot of mistakes in spelling and proper use of words in a sentence. I get a kick out of someone saying that they have the "mike" for the radio. I would rather have the mic that came with it. . Probably a moot point since both "mike" and "mic" are acceptable slang terms...

Re: RE:NICHOLAS(KM5FL)?

to my collection... What's the matter?? You can't take as good as you give?? Poor poor grammar is just as bad as poor spelling. It's pretty obvious from the post I'm quoting, and a couple others you have made in your thread that not only can you not take what you dish out, you also don't know how t...

Of course Paypal "Gift" payment to avert selling fees is not only a violation of the seller's Paypal agreement but it removes most of the Paypal protections.

I refuse to buy from sellers who request or demand "gift" payments. Fraud is fraud.

The asking prices here on QTH are often far higher than selling prices on eBay.
No big deal . If you don't like the price keep looking.

Pay Pal has only recently started to cover items bought off of Ebay as I stated in an earlier post. Maybe my choice of words was not fancy enough for you? BTW what does drinking have to do with a buyer's reaction to a deceptively described item. Oh, you meant "peeved" , not "peaved". The problem is...

Paypal doesn't act on claims outside of ebay. The rest of your comments are baloney. I filed the IC3 claim. I don't want anything from you now. Its out of my hands. Paypal certainly does act on claims outside of eBay. They do not act on claims for "gifts" however. A seller peaved by a buyer's react...

Worked the last time I used it. Yeah, back in 1955! Mike K3CXG Yep, "Worked the last time I used it" ....Then my buddy borrowed it and blew it up. The famous: " AS-IS " Is the ultimate escape clause. It also means every single part of the description might as well be a blatant lie. The photo may be...

A person selling off the estate of a deceased ham could easily exceed $20K. I guess this is another gov. double-dip form of inheritance taxation. Surely it is not real income as the husband/wife team likey have already paid taxes on the income that originally paid for the gear. What with the boom ge...

Or just do the honorable thing and issue a real Paypal payment. Besides, when you "gift" money, there is no protection from unscrupulous sellers. Then again, the seller who goes back on his word by requesting you to help subvert paying the legitimate fees is very likely not worthy of your trust.
