Hi George. I see that N8ZVD has changed his callsign to W8ROX.

Assuming you still haven't been paid for the shipping, I am going to block W8ROX from using our site.

I'm trying to find the ad in question. If the item was not sold "as is" or gave any indication it was non-working, then there is no excuse for the buyer to be treated this way, and would be cause to be blocked from further use of the QTH.com Classifieds.

Bill believes that this radio is not illegal. The FCC sent me a few years ago, the following information: Moreover, the dual use CB and amateur radios of the kind at issue here may not be certified under the Commission’s rules. Section 95.655(a) states: "….([CB] Transmitters with frequency capabilit...

Re: EXPORT RADIOS SPLD ON QTH.COM

I did nothing wrong. I did the same thing as other hams have done on your web site and you did nothing about it. OK, I understand now. So, you think it's OK to go 120 mph down the highway, because other people have done it without getting caught? That makes it right? Please explain to me what is di...

Re: I AM A GOOD SELLER!!

BY THE WAY, STRYKER EXPORT RADIOS ARE SOLD NEW AND USED ON EBAY WITH NO PROBLEM AT ALL. THANK YOU. Do you understand what an "export radio" means? It means that the radio can only be exported out of the USA. It is illegal to purchase the radio in the USA and this type of radio is never allowed on t...

You probably are aware of this, but the feedline loss at 160m is going to be negligible. I have my Inverted vee up 90 feet, with 400+ feed of feedline, and works very well, both domestically and DX. I am in a quiet location, which helps on receive... and I use my 80 meter dipole primarily as the rx ...

Yes, this is the FEEDBACK forum. If you want to talk about general trading tips, or shipping tips, we have different forums for those.

What we really want to know is who did this, and what the final results were after you contacted the party to discuss and resolve.

Re: still does not make sense

Scott, My response went to Charles. How did Martyn intercept and reply to it, and then go on to ask me about a rig I had for sale? Paul w8jn The bad guy placed an ad using the name and callsign of KI4VDX, but used Martyn's email address. The source of the IP was an open proxy server in Germany. Cle...

I definitely understand the neighborly thing, don't get me wrong. But at some point, if things go bad, you may need to make the neighbor realize it is his problem, not yours, and that you willing to help... but ultimately it has to be resolved or he has to shut those lights off.

Probably a long shot... but I have not had any problems with regular CFL lights, and there are some nice advantages of CFL over regular fluorescent tube lights. There are conversion kits that allow you to convert a tube fixture to CFL.

For example:
