The reason I mentioned calling the employer is because the fraud is taking place on company property, near as I can tell, since the transactions are setup using his employer's e-mail system. I would think the employer would be responsible for, or at least very interested in, what their employees do ...

Joe, don't give up so soon. First, there are many, many good deals being done here everyday. Frankly, with the questionable comments here, you even admitted you should have known better. You should feel good about trading with the people here that have good feedback... and even those that have NO fe...

FYI, Cal at HamRepair.com has been a fine supporter of QTH.com, by buying banner advertising on QTH.com, since October 2003, and just recently renewed for another year.

Thanks for your support, Cal!

I did wind up going with Dish and love it. We upgraded to their PVR (TiVO like system) and it works pretty good (not as good as my old Replay, but the price is right -- nothing to buy, and only $4.95 per month and that is for a dual-tuner unit) I used a distribution amp from Channel Master that has ...

I understand that Danny has received a UPS tracking number, and it is valid according to UPS. So, hopefully he receives the equipment.

I have notified K0RPL that I will not stand for any more of this nonsense.

Thanks! Well, I got licensed when I was 14 years old, and have moved MANY times since then. I bet I have it... somewhere!!!

I'll try an FCC contact and see what I can find... I am still surprised it's not publically available. I think that would be very useful! :-)

How to find original license date?

OK, probably a dumb question, but how can I find out the original date that I received my ham license? All the on-line databases seem to have the renewal date, but not the original date. This is my 25 year ham anniversary this year, but I can't remember the exact date.

eBay listings

I'm in the process of a major rewrite of the classifieds, and I am definitely working on the eBay situation. There may be a way to include eBay listings for those that want them, and to eliminate them for those that do not, simply by setting a preference one time. More to come... and your opinions w...

If he claims that UPS broke it, then he needs to file for damages... meanwhile, he should have refunded you the entire amount. I will contact Larry myself about this.. if he does not take care of this, I will block him from using the site in the future. EDIT: 7/23/04 11PM WB9DNB says that he will re...

It would appear that the Don Pritchard on that web site is from the United Kingdom. But the weird part is... how did this wind up on QSL.net -- it has nothing to do with ham radio!

EDIT: I contacted QSL.net and they removed that non-ham site from their servers.

K4KK... nearly this entire thread is about whether it was right or wrong for WC5E to file fraud charges against K7FF, simply because he had not heard from him in a week. I will try to clean up this thread regarding other references.

Scott, I don't think a fraud complaint should be filed until 14 days have passed. It is the sellers responsibility to communicate the status of the sale and shipment no matter what medium he has to use. Phone, mail, email, overnight mail, smoke signals or whatever and it should be done at once. I a...

So... WR0T, to be clear... you think it is OK for someone to file a FRAUD COMPLAINT with PayPal, if they do not receive the item, or the tracking number, within 7 days of submitting payment? Or is it OK only if the seller is K7FF?

I understand that we SHOULD keep the other party informed as to the status of a deal (When you get the money, when you expect it to ship, when you actually shipped it and by what method, tracking numbers or confirmation numbers, etc.). This is common courtesy. Agreed 100%!! BUT... s**t happens. Fami...

You might think it is common courtesy to supply a fedex tracking number within a week of sending payment, but did you guys agree on this ahead of time (that he would, indeed, supply you with this tracking number as part of your sale agreeement)??? I think over-reaction is putting it mildly. You coul...

Personally, I find it ridiculous for anyone to file a fraud complaint 1 week after sending payment. If I was the buyer, I'd be ashamed and I'd post an apology here.
