Re: WHERE DID ALL THE BOXES GO?

If the radio is all you have then I guess storage of the box is not a real problem. At my station I have the Radio, a desk mic, matching speaker, power supply, antenna tuner, SWR/power meter, amplifier, and antenna rotator. Believe me all those boxes will not fit in a small closet with any room left...

Drake 1-A receiver value ...

Trying to get an idea of the value of my Drake 1-A receiver.

Have not seen any for sale on ebay or in the classifieds here.

It is in good working condition with very minor wear.

What a bunch of BS ...

Grown men acting like children.
Sounds just like what I hear on the 80 meter band.

Its all BS as nobody has any legal grounds to do anything.
The radio should have been returned for the refund when it was offered.

Play nice children.

Re: Members with odd E=Mail adresses are people too.

Gee ... those are the same reasons the scammers use them also.

"We just like to have a "public e=mail address" that is not personal, filtered to reduce spam, can be given out to anyone, and separate from our personal e-mail. And in the event of total BS, can be simply deleted and forgotten"

So many scams and crooks on the internet ...

With so many scammers on the internet today it is a wonder anyone would risk their money buying something sight unseen from a voice on the telephone. Paypal helps provide some protection but you are still out the time it takes to recover the money. Anyone that says "send it as a gift" kills the deal...

Re: Assumption..

Or just do the honorable thing and issue a real Paypal payment. Besides, when you "gift" money, there is no protection from unscrupulous sellers. Then again, the seller who goes back on his word by requesting you to help subvert paying the legitimate fees is very likely not worthy of your trust. Yo...

Good luck and hope you are successful in getting your money back.

The worst ham frequency ???

In your opinion ... what is the worst possible frequency to tune to?

Somewhere that really gives ham radio a huge black eye because of the actions of the people operating there.

Do you know of such a frequency?
