FCC Drops Morse Code From Amateur Radio Exams

I hate to see the Morse Code being dropped from the Amateur Radio License Exams because it was one thing to define this great hobby. The Amateur Radio Community had a certain level of knowledge and determination to conquer and pass the CW / Morse Code and Electronics Theory portions of each testing ...

Hello Ed, Well the Kenwood MC-50 Desktop Microphone is a High "Z" Impedance (50K) and the Kenwood TS-680S Transceiver Microphone Input is a Low "Z" Impedance (600 Ohm). This is a major audio Impedance mismatch! Not to fret because I've got a solution by clicking on the web link below: http://www.ken...

Here's a classic example of not realizing the difference between an older designed (Astatic) product being the D-104 High Impedance (500 K Ohm) Microphone and the newer Solid State Amateur Radios (Kenwood) using a Low Impedance (600 Ohm) Microphone Input requirements. It's a total mismatch therefore...

I can bet this Marco 75 F amplifier was designed for the 11 meter CB band and only requires 5 Watts RF Drive. If your can open the amplifier, it probably uses a single MRF422 transistor good between 2 and 30 MHz. I wouldn't count on the transistor operating at 50 MHz.
